Purpose: To strengthen the leadership skills of pastors and Christian leaders so they can carry out the plans and projects they have received from the Lord.
Focus: This area of work was born out of a teaching based on the book of Nehemiah. Its purpose is to develop leadership skills in pastors and Christian leaders, so they can carry out community outreach efforts rooted in the vision the Lord has given them for the people and places they serve.
Leadership Training
Impact 52+ is a training program designed to help leaders and pastors strengthen and develop leadership competencies, so they can fulfill the vision and plans they have received from the Lord regarding the practical expression of the gospel in the communities around them.
The program is based on the process carried out by Nehemiah, as described in the biblical book that bears his name. Drawing from this story, the training focuses on two main components: leadership development and project development and management.
The process begins by reviewing the vision of the congregation or ministry, as well as the plans they have developed to pursue it. Based on this information, individual coaching sessions are carried out, addressing different areas of leadership, including:
- The ability to define reality and communicate vision.
- Effective communication.
- Delegation and teamwork.
- Attitude.
- Handling criticism and resolving conflict.
- Integrity and character development.
- Decision-making.
- Caring for and developing people.
Throughout the program, our support may also include:
- Support in church planting processes.
- Assistance in identifying development needs and managing resources.
- Technical support for project development.
Although the program has a defined structure, each person, congregation, or ministry we support is accompanied in a personalized way, taking into account their context, vision, needs, and stage of development.
A little bit of history
As part of our story, our experience in this type of work dates back to 2010, when, together with International Justice Mission and Viva Juntos por la Niñez, we developed the training program Sanctuaries of Peace, Justice, and Hope. This program focused on helping Christian congregations develop skills to prevent domestic violence and child sexual abuse.
The program encouraged participating congregations to make a public commitment to violence prevention and to develop internal tools to respond to these situations in a timely and appropriate manner.
During the life of the program, more than ten congregations made a public commitment to the prevention of domestic violence and child abuse.
Project Development and Management
Today, many congregations and ministries carry out their social outreach activities in a practical and proactive way. However, in many cases, limited planning, the absence of funding strategies, or lack of resources can affect the results they hope to achieve.
To help address these challenges, we come alongside congregations and ministries, seeking to understand their heart, their vision, and how these align with the calling the Lord has given them.
From there, we support them in preparing project proposals, seeking funding opportunities, carrying out follow-up and monitoring activities, and communicating with donors.
In recent years, we have had the opportunity to support Ministerio Un Vaso de Agua Fría —MINUVAF—, Mauricio Meneses’ Drop of Life project, and the evangelistic trips led by Pastor Walter Llanos.
Although this area of service is not always visible, we rejoice in seeing the churches and ministries we serve direct their efforts in a clearer, more organized, and more effective way.
